Do you have to provide your own dragonboat?
No. There is a company who sets things up and brings all the required gear, boats, paddles, life jackets, etc.
We had 35 teams at $750 per team...hmmm...that's $26,250. We provided the manpower, announcers etc.
The city event organizers gets the beer tent money and a piece of all concession stand $$$.
How many individuals are on a team?? It would be an interesting event....family actually working together, or would we all be paddling in a circle? My good friend Toby was the "announcer" for a team at the races in Duluth. She had a blast doing it!!
I think 16-20 plus an oarsman and a drummer...I think Nancy and I would be in it. Any one else?
