Nancy saw this hawk sitting on top of the sprinkler so I had to get a couple of pictures. It just sat in the area we were sprinkling for at least an hour. We think it must have just been stunned. I was with in 2-3 feet and it did not move. Later it flew away.

Hawk update-We had this hawk in our yard for 3 days. I finally got ahold of a professional birder. She cam out a figured ut it was a sick Coopers Hawk. She thought it may have west nile virous. She picked up the hawk with her bare hands, put it into a cardboard box. Bemidji has a bird rehabber and that is where she was going. If the rehab person doesn't have room, she will ship it to the Raptor Center in the twin cities.
