We had our "United Way" company auction today. Our company goes out and collects donations then auctions the items off.
Nancy and I donated 4-six packs of home made beer (some is not even cooked yet) and three bottles of Chianti. They auctioned them all off for a grand total of $137.00! Isn't America great!

that's a great idea. Our United Way auction starts on Tuesday. My department put together a book basket. I'll be curious to see what there is to be auctioned off.
Bring in the beer...they alway liked late entries.Other people donated baked goods or a popular one dish meal and they would cook or bake them at the winners choice of dates. On lady donated 12 sweet and sour cookies and earned 13 bucks fot the United Way.
