Leader Pig Races

On Saturday evening on our way home from Alicia's, we (Gary & Nancy & Dale & Lois) stopped by Leader, MN, for the famous pig races. Talk about total entertainment...it was so much fun! And the pigs are so-o-o cute! They run a short track in pursuit of their prize...donuts!

Gary, the emcee and owner, is entertaining, too! He has other attractions that are great to see..."red neck horseshoes" (with toilet seat covers), milking contests, jump roping, hula hooping, kids scrambling for $1 bills in sawdust, & I am sure he has more fun up his sleeve.

The pig races are held every Friday and Saturday night from Memorial Day to Labor Day starting at 7:00 at the Bear's Den...if you get an opportunity to go, you will have a great time, guaranteed!

I would like to add that Dale was a lucky winner (piggy #9 won) and won a nice loking Twins Jersey. Now he will match Grandson Kane.
We really had a great time! Watching the kids and all...I would highly recommend spending a evening in Leader, MN! Pig rase are held each Friday and Saturday at 7pm-9pm all summer long!
